Chapter one
The year is 1992, two retired airforce officers and their wives rejoice in glory, they became grandparents today. They watch while the nurse wraps the newborn child in a white cloth and hands him over to the mother. She holds her baby in her arms for the first time now, he is smaller than most babies but he seems to be healthy. Finally after a few hours, she and her child are left alone. She unwraps him, holding his tiny fingers in hers, when suddenly her moment of joy is followed by a moment of complete horror and panic. One of his ear is closed, she panics and starts thinkings how it was her fault that her child is born with a cauliflower ear but the moment passed soon when it opens right infront of his eyes or rather "like how a bud blossoms into a flower", as she tells her son 17years later, on the morning of his birthday.
